"More intuitive than methodical, my photographic eye, honed since my first SLR 40 years ago, is primarily guided by the emotion of a moment. I've been fortunate enough to travel often, which has allowed me to multiply these moments and thus build a particularly eclectic photo library. And whether they are from distant lands or simple
neighborhood wanderings, these journeys are an inexhaustible source from which a poetic line, and often an alternative vision of reality, sometimes unexpectedly springs forth, inspired mainly by cinema, literature, and comic books.
As a teenager, I dreamed of telling stories in images. But after a year of film school prep in Paris, I quickly realized the constraints inherent in film production, the financial investment it represented, and thus the potential loss of freedom that I absolutely did not want to give up. I ultimately worked for many years in the non-profit sector, but today, by using photomontage, I can freely tell stories, or pay tribute, often tinged with parody. I now have my own studio in Haut de Cagnes, OliR's studio, and I regularly exhibit at markets, which also allows me to meet many people and sometimes have the opportunity to tell the stories of those who ask me to...
